About Modern Energy
Modern Energy Ltd
Powering Progress. Building Infrastructure. Enabling Growth.
Modern Energy Ltd is a South Sudanese company delivering practical solutions across renewable energy, power generation and distribution, Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC), and infrastructure manufacturing. We are committed to expanding reliable access to energy, strengthening local industrial capacity, and delivering the infrastructure that supports sustainable economic development across South Sudan.
Our integrated solutions include solar energy systems, power generation and distribution, electrical infrastructure, PVoC services, and locally manufactured construction products for electricity networks, telecommunications, roads, drainage systems, public utilities, and major development projects.
Quality Assurance & PVoC
Modern Energy Ltd works in partnership with the South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS) to support the implementation of Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) requirements for applicable goods exported from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to South Sudan.
Through the PVoC programme, applicable products destined for South Sudan undergo the required conformity assessment, inspection, testing, verification, and certification processes before shipment and entry into the country, in line with applicable SSNBS requirements. This helps businesses, government, and consumers access products that meet the required standards while supporting quality, safety, and trade compliance.
Local Manufacturing & Infrastructure
Modern Energy Ltd is also a leading local manufacturer of prestressed concrete electricity poles and reinforced concrete culverts, operating from a 40,000-square-metre production facility in Luri, Juba.
Our products are designed for demanding applications across power transmission and distribution, telecommunications, road construction, drainage, urban development, public utilities, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
By manufacturing locally, we help reduce dependence on imported infrastructure products, strengthen domestic supply chains, create local economic opportunities, and contribute to the development of South Sudan’s industrial base.
Our Commitment
We combine local knowledge, technical expertise, quality assurance, and reliable delivery to serve government institutions, businesses, investors, development partners, contractors, and communities.
Modern Energy Ltd is building more than projects—we are helping build the energy and infrastructure foundation for South Sudan’s future.
